We are an intermediate to advanced roleplay site, with a lot of talented roleplayers, so if you think you fall into that category, then why not join us? one serial killer. one list. three hundred names. worldwide hysteria.

everyone who’s anyone in the know about the paranormal knows about the hunt – especially those with manifested abilities. a government operation launched this time last year was designed for one purpose and one alone – to hunt those down with extraordinary abilities. no-one ever knew what happened to the people captured, and no-one ever saw them again. however, the general public had a hunch, and the government’s reputation was tainted forever.

and as if that wasn’t bad enough for the men sitting in the white house, a cruel turnabout of fate was about to make things that much worse.

a certain serial killer that had remained under the radar for many many years had finally reared their ugly head once again, breaking into the white house, and fleeing again without going detected. however, they left one critical clue as to their identity – a list, with exactly three hundred names on it, signed in a signature of blood. only the president, the recipient of the list, knew the title of the list, the owners of the three hundred names, and the hand that had etched the signature below.

that is, until, one certain meddling reporter managed to get their hands on it.
then suddenly, the world was in utter turmoil.

no-one knew the names on the list, which in a way, made the blow so much worse. those who hadn’t heard the serial killer’s name before, now knew it, and spoke it in a voice of fear. the paranoia throughout the world was growing, especially as the only detail announced in the press report was the killer’s name.

his name was gabriel sylar.

today, nobody walks the streets alone, in fear of being on the worldly announced hit list. everyone always checks behind their shoulders as they enter the house, in fear of being watched. the suicide rate has gone up no end, and as rumour after rumour after rumour circulates, the empty deserts of the sahara are suffering from inflation – people fleeing there in hope of never being found by sylar and the lack of mercy of his pointy finger. however, only a select group of people know the truth – these people are the specials – the people who are truly in danger.

and as these ‘specials’ struggle to save others whilst saving themselves, the hunters are still relentlessly searching, their quest made much harder by the impending death threats hanging ominously in the air above them. are the hunters on the list too? it’s not just the prey that are being stalked, it’s the predators too...

with paranoia in the air, being relentlessly hunted, it’s no
doubt that the specials’ abilities are going through some sort of twisted
natural progression.
